Re: Registry Life 1.15 Beta - What's New
Does version 1.15 still look for invalid applications paths and prompt the user to upgrade to Registry Organizer when it finds them?
"I was happy with this program until today when I got the message: 'invalid application path in the settings" with a link to Registry Organizer.
I know you want to sell software, but now I have problems that I can't fix unless I use your software!
NOT GOOD.
I'm removing Registry Life 1.10.
Will version 1.0 take care of this for me?"

Yes, version 1.15 shows this information. We'll consider adding a special command line parameter to disable such notifications if they are annoying you.

Yes, that would be great, unless it would offer to fix them without having to buy Registry Optimizer.Administrator wrote:Yes, version 1.15 shows this information. We'll consider adding a special command line parameter to disable such notifications if they are annoying you.
I know it's marketing thing, though.

If we'd add a special command line parameter, say "-NoUpgradeOffer", which disables such notifications, would it be useful for you?

Yes, it would. However my feelings on this is, if a program (free or not) offers to find a problem, it should offer to fix it.Administrator wrote:beck wrote:Yes, that would be great, unless it would offer to fix them without having to buy Registry Optimizer.Administrator wrote:Yes, version 1.15 shows this information. But, if this is disabled, it's like "out of site, out of mind" and if this is what you propose, so be it. I appreciate the consideration.
Strange though that jv power tools and ccleaner don't find this issue, or at least I don't know how to do it. jv power tools is a little hard to use.
Thank you.

Okay, the next version 1.15 will have the undocumented command line parameter -NoBottomPanel that will disable the bottom panel. You may add this parameter to the Registry Life Desktop shortcut.beck wrote:
