Autorun: Remove and prevent reappearance?
How to see which entries have been made with this option and to reverse this choice if desired?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Hello,
To check which items have this option enabled, you need to review them individually. Please right-click on each startup item you are curious about and check its context menu. The status of the option will be shown there.
Alternatively, this information is stored in Autorun Organizer's configuration files. However, analyzing them requires advanced technical knowledge, so we recommend using the context menu method.

Thank you. But there is nothing when I choose the SHOW ALL option that remotely resembles the 2 items which I removed and blocked?

Re: Autorun: Remove and prevent reappearance?
If Autorun Organizer prevents a removed application from reappearing, you will see the button shown in the screenshot. Using it, you can review the list of removed applications whose reappearance has been blocked.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Re: Autorun: Remove and prevent reappearance?
I am sorry that I did not take a screenshot to show you. It is a message which I get from time to time about some binary cache will be deleted on next boot.
I finally got sick of it; it appears that after it executes my icon cache gets messed up.
So, I removed it and blocked it. I made Autorun show me all entries and checked all the crossed out ones, but I could not find one with "prevent reenable checked". I mainly asked, in case, it turned out be something necessary, but I doubt it.
Thanks for your help. A fantastic utility!

Re: Autorun: Remove and prevent reappearance?
Hello,
Thank you for the update and for the kind words about our utility!
Regarding your question about the icon shown in the screenshot: It only appears in the list if there are entries that have been permanently blocked from recreating themselves.
To check for such blocked items and to allow us to analyze them, please follow these steps:
Navigate to this folder on your computer:
%localappdata%\ChemTable Software\Shared\StartupItems
(You can paste this path directly into the address bar of File Explorer).
In this folder, you will find one or several .xml files.
If you'd like us to review these files and confirm the nature of the entry you blocked, please send them to support@chemtable.com.
We can then check which startup items have been blocked from being recreated.

Thank you. I am busy with a hardware build out at the moment. I will check when I get a chance.

Here is the image. Once I removed and prevent reappearance, I cannot find an entry again. I took this from another system.Chemtable Software wrote: Fri Nov 14, 2025 1:45 pm Hello,

Re: Autorun: Remove and prevent reappearance?
This is a common behavior for such types of tasks. They are often created by the system for a one-time execution and are automatically removed afterward, which is why they disappear from the listMarkShot wrote: Tue Nov 18, 2025 1:37 am Here is the image.
