I registered just to say I also have been having this problem and the last posted build solved it. The icon now appears. I'm on Win 11.

Hello,

Thank you for the information. It would be helpful if you could send the AutorunOrganizer.log file located on your Desktop after using the build from this topic.

I don't think I've had a problem with the tray icon with this version, although it wasn't a frequent issue so can't be 100% sure.

As for the search bar/crash/error issue shown in the video, I haven't been able to reproduce it in this version. It doesn't seem to occur at all.

Hello,

It would be very helpful if you could confirm that the problem still occurs on the regular version (https://files.chemtable.com/ao/autorun- ... -setup.exe) to make sure that this is not a random fluctuation in the occurrence of the problem.

PS. We have just added the saving of the Custom viewing mode state when returning from other modes, as we discussed before.

Many thanks for implementing this. :)

About the search bar error: this still occurs with the standard version, I've already re-confirmed it, after having removed the newer RC version.

About the tray icon occasionally not appearing: I have to monitor this more carefully and for a longer time to confirm.

Hello,

We fixed a bug that could cause the error message you described. Please try the build below. Let us know if the issue still occurs in it:

Sorry, I managed to crash RC3 very quickly on my first attempts...

edit: One thing I've noticed about this error is that when it first occurs, then it will keep occurring very frequently on the same session.

Hello,

The 'Access violation...' error during the application's filtering was hard to reproduce, but in the upcoming 6.0 version, the code parts related to it have been rewritten. Let's see how this will affect the issue. The new version can be downloaded from:
https://files.chemtable.com/ao/autorun- ... -setup.exe

I haven't been able to reproduce the Access violation error this time. ;)

Something I've noticed In this excellent, new 6.0 version. Sometimes, the All button will also show the (hidden by default) System Applications. Didn't do much testing, but it looks like this is related to the "Hide System Applications" setting in the Custom button.

Personally, I'd prefer to see them when pressing All (All means All!) but I guess it's understandable to hide them, since disabling the wrong entries there can lead to serious problems.

Also: after switching between All and Custom buttons so many times, AO sort of freeze/crashed at some point. No visible crash, I could still press on the buttons but no changes were applied. It would not quit either, and I had to terminate its process. After that, all good and this is probably a rare, isolated case that wouldn't occur under normal use.
